Design for Better 2.0
A three-day live forum in Shoreditch for London Design Festival, with IKEA, Space10, H&M, Atelier100, Aesop and the B Corp community.

Following the success of our Design for Better virtual event, we hosted a live forum in Shoreditch during the London Design Festival — an intimate programme of talks and panel discussions exploring how we can build a better future for people, the planet and business as a whole.
Drawing on our network of visionary experts, entrepreneurs and academics, we brought together a truly inspirational line-up of speakers including IKEA, Space10, H&M, Atelier100 and Aesop, alongside industry experts in societal and cultural trends, future thinking and entrepreneurship.
Bringing together designers and makers, crafters and carers, scientists and storytellers, strategists and visionaries, we encouraged them to share their unique stories and perspectives about treading a new path and creating positive change and impact.
On day one we centred on the theme of Circularity, inviting the Chief Creative Officer of IKEA, Marcus Engman, and the Global Brand Innovation Manager from H&M, Camilla Henriksson, to describe the concept behind Atelier100 and share their story of local craftsmanship and community.
On day two we focused on the theme of Social Cause, with a wonderful line-up including Helen Job from Space10, who spoke about what constitutes good design.
We devoted the third and final day to the subject of becoming a B Corp, inviting Kyle Soo, partnerships and product manager at B Lab UK, to join our co-founders to host a fast-paced series of presentations from some of the guiding lights in the B Corp community — COAT Paints, Flexi-Hex, DEPLOY London, Pentire Drinks, Pip & Nut and more, sharing why they joined the movement and what it really means to their business.

Our event drew in a stellar crowd, including Dezeen, It’s Nice That, Stylus, the Royal College of Art, Selfridges and many more.
