Embrace The Uncertainty
As uncertain as the times may be, pushing change aside and ignoring the paradigm shifts that we are seeing in our industry will only keep you further away from growth.
Embracing the complexity of not only creativity, but first and foremost the industry we are entering into (Industry 5.0), is what keeps us future-facing as both a team and also personally as individuals.
Industry 5.0 asks us to go beyond automation and optimisation. It asks us to re-humanise. To work with technology, not around it. To co-create value by staying close to the human core- emotional intelligence, creativity, adaptability.
The future will not reward those who wait for stability before taking action. It will reward those who move with intent, even amidst chaos.
Spotting those unmet needs and using them as the basis for decision-making is what you need to do to stay ahead.
In Leadership we often talk about the idea of VUCA times; an era characterised by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. Change is rapid, and outcomes are becoming increasingly difficult to predict. Instead of trying to predict the future, why not focus on spotting and acting upon the actual unmet needs of your consumers?
Designing for the problems that actually exist and are shaping our Industry is essential. And perhaps more important than anticipating problems that don’t yet exist. Design for the real needs of your consumer.
When we start new projects, our first question to ourselves is ‘where do the unmet needs lie?’ and, how can we unlock the real ‘why’ behind a company, in such uncertain times.
We explore our thoughts on this in our youtube series…
