Classic Group, Malta’s leading retailer with a portfolio of fashion and jewellery brands, sought to unify its offerings under a new Holding Group.
Our brief was to create a name and identity that would honour its Maltese roots while inspiring a sense of belonging and local pride.

Challenge
How can we create a name and visual identity that embodies Malta’s unique heritage while positioning the brand as a modern and aspirational leader in retail?
Drawing on the cultural and natural heritage of Malta, we discovered inspiration in the island’s national bird, the Blue Rock Thrush - a symbol of freedom and resilience. This bird, alongside Malta’s sunlit landscapes and the azure waters of the Mediterranean, informed the name Bluerock.
Building on this foundation, we developed a visual identity that celebrates the essence of Malta while remaining versatile and future-focused. The brand proposition, designed to reflect the Group’s leadership and connection to its roots, was brought to life across key touchpoints, including a bespoke website, a launch film and corporate literature.
To ensure consistency and clarity, we created an expansive set of brand guidelines, empowering Bluerock to express its story across all channels.

Bluerock now stands as a proud testament to Malta’s heritage and the Group’s ambitions for growth. With a name and identity deeply tied to the local landscape and culture, the brand has established a meaningful connection with its audience while setting a course for the future of retail in Malta.
Retail Vision
Drawing on our wealth of experience in retail design, we worked in close collaboration to develop the strategic vision for the creation of a department store in Malta named Mavenry.
To inform and inspire our creative ideation, we curated a bespoke retail trend presentation and developed a series of consumer personas. Our vision was to imagine a new retail experience like no other. Creating a store that is vast in choice and unrivalled anywhere on the island in terms of customer experience. Within an environment that is purposefully and thoughtfully designed with sustainability at its core.
