Bluerock – Brand Creation & Retail Design Strategy
Our client brief was to create a brand name and identity for Malta’s leading retailer with a portfolio of fashion and jewellery brands.
The origins of the name Bluerock are closely connected with the Maltese island, as the Blue Rock is the national bird and a symbol of freedom. It is also suggestive of the beautiful, sun-drenched rock in the middle of the azure Mediterranean.

Brand Origins
With the origins of the name Blue Rock as our creative inspiration, we developed a brand identity and proposition that could be applied to all brand touchpoints, including the website, film and corporate literature. To capture that vision in a consistent way we also created a comprehensive set of brand guidelines.
Retail Vision
Drawing on our wealth of experience in retail design, we worked in close collaboration to develop the strategic vision for the creation of a department store in Malta named Mavenry.
To inform and inspire our creative ideation, we curated a bespoke retail trend presentation and developed a series of consumer personas. Our vision was to imagine a new retail experience like no other. Creating a store that is vast in choice and unrivalled anywhere on the island in terms of customer experience. Within an environment that is purposefully and thoughtfully designed with sustainability at its core.
